Our Story

Beyond the Bump Warwickshire was setup in 2022 by Melissa & Vicky, with a purpose of supporting parents-to-be and new parents through every step of their journey into and beyond parenthood.

In 2023, Beyond the Bump Hub was launched which is Leamington Spa's first and only Pregnancy & Postnatal Hub, the hub is a one stop shop for Antenatal and Postnatal classes, care and support from Beyond the Bump and an array of the best local Pregnancy and Postnatal experts.

In 2024 the Beyond the Bump team expanded & so did our venue. We are now a team of 3 (Vicky, Melissa & Katie) supporting families both in person from our brand new Pregnancy and Postnatal Hub in Warwickshire, and online via Online Courses.

Who Are we?

Vicky is a Fedant registered Antenatal and Postnatal Educator, Baby Massage Instructor, Baby Spa Guide and Pregnancy Yoga Instructor

I'm Vicky. Wife to Max & mummy to my 2 beautiful babies, and one on the way, Maible, born in April 2020 and Axyll born in February 2022 and our third due Winter 2024.

I'm originally from Cumbria but now live in Warwick & absolutely love living and raising my babies here.

I've always found pregnancy, birth and parenthood fascinating, but it wasn't until having my own children that the fascination really became a passion.

Having spent years having my own fertility struggles, ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages and IVF, we were blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby girl whom I gave birth to in Warwick hospital. We have since gone on to have 2 more children, one of which was welcomed into the world via a wonderful home birth, and our third is due to be born at home in late 2024.

I believe my passion, coupled with my real life experience, extensive training and continuous learning, gives me a great foundation to be able to offer knowledge, and support to you whether that be in the early stages of your pregnancy, through your birth and beyond into postpartum life, and life with your new baby.

I'm Melissa. Partner to Richard, and mummy to Ophelia born in March 2020 and Rowen born in May 2022. I grew up in Western Canada but have lived in the UK for more than 10 years, mostly around the Leamington/Warwick area.

My experiences with pregnancy and birth has varied hugely. My first pregnancy with Ophelia ended at 33 weeks in an emergency section when I developed preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, which happened to coincide with the first day of lockdown in March 2020!  It was hugely traumatic and I found I had very little support during or after.

A year later I had a Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR) at 14 weeks for our second baby girl, Noa. Again, I found myself feeling like I had very little support and didn't know where to go. When I got pregnant with Rowen I did a lot of my own research and found my voice, and it was a vastly different experience and much more positive.

I really wanted to make sure other people didn't go through the same trauma and experience that I did and I hope that my experience and knowledge can help others feel empowered and ready for anything that may come up during pregnancy, birth, and even beyond.
